On The Lookout

This window is in my dining room.  

...and it's huge.  

...and it's amazing.  

BUT, the view isn't so great so I've been on the lookout for a little something to spruce it up.

This small tree did the trick; 

it wasn't so big to take up all the room, but gave a nice distraction.   

I'm also in love with the planter - it's so cute!!

New Piece

I may or may not have a small candle/candelabra obsession.  

It's really not my fault, they just follow me around.

I'm actually looking forward to today's rainy afternoon and lighting this beauty while I clean.

Griffin goes from Cowboy to Fireman to Policeman to Train Conductor in the blink of an eye.  

...or change of a hat.  

...or sometimes he's all those things at once.

It feels like summer's finally in full swing and it's fabulous!    

PS - I'm looking forward to a day on the beach alone - no chasing around a 3-year-old.

Over the weekend, I got the nicest complement from a friends' husband.  

He went on and on about how much of an inspiration I'd been to his wife.  

After all the time I spend searching for inspiration;

on blogs, in cute shops, pinterest!

It was so nice to know that I'd served as someone else's inspiration.

We had so much fun at this weekends' inaugural "Jookin" and look forward to many more.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

The past few weeks have been filled with travel.

First In Flight

I'm sure many would think Griffin has been a tiny bit deprived because I did not want to take him on an airplane.  

He's really not a bad traveler, he's used to being in the car and can handle a 4-hour road trip pretty easily.  

So, at age 3, we finally decided he was up for the challenge.  

Destination: Boston!

Our little traveler was great on the plane!

Thanks to a fantastic tutorial from a friend and a super nanny/shopping buddy, this trip was a breeze.  

I see many more travels in G's future!
