Memorial Day Fun

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend!  

G enjoyed a lot of firsts;

a backyard sprinkler (since our backyard is water challenged)

and camping with his daddy were among a few.  

We also spent two days of this long weekend on the Lake.  

Fun, fun, fun!

Natural Beauty

Yesterday's post was all about the gorgeous resort, but today's pics will show the natural beauty on the island.

Puerto Rico, Si!

For last year's Spring vacation, J and I went on the kiddie trip to Disney.  

So, this year we decided that G needed to go on the adult trip to Puerto Rico!  

I'm not saying that Disney is entirely awful, 

 (it kinda is)

but this trip was so much better for us.  

We spent our days playing in the water, looking for shells, and  going on lots of crab, lizard, and frog hunting expeditions.  

It was just more...
...shall we say…
 natural!

…than spending days waiting in line for rides or, even worse, making appointments to stand in line for rides.  Blah!

Easter Sunday

We're so lucky that the blue skies opened up just in time for a happy Easter.  

Please excuse G's hair - 

these pics were taken after two church services and brunch so it's looking a little wild!  

We played with our new baseball set (courtesy of the Easter bunny) until 8:00 last night.  

That Easter bunny is sooooooo thoughtful, 

he knew Mommy was getting tired of pitching baseballs to G!!!

Ugh!

This weather has simply got to go!  

The constant state of gloom we've been in keeps me motivated to do nothing.

We're so looking forward to a lazy weekend at home!

It's been kind of busy around here so a little pause will be nice.  :-)

So Sad

I'm so sad that my favorite tree has lost its' blooms.  

On Monday, my neighbors' cherry blossom tree looked so beautiful, 

but the cold on Tuesday snapped all the color away.  

I'll keep my eye out for others to photograph, 

but these inspiration shots will have to do for now.
