Christmas 2011

I really hate it when Christmas is over.  Though I do have lots of fun, new presents to play with (or dress up in,) I don't like it when the time comes to take down the tree.  The house is looking pretty sad again, but I'll have my pictures to look back on and remember this wonderful Christmas.

Christmas is COMING!

The parties are over, gifts are wrapped, and 5 million candy baskets delivered.  Bring on the Christmas, people!!!

Not Feeling the Santa Claus

For the past two years I've had the cutest pictures of Griffin with Santa Claus (which I'll share when I locate them.) His first picture, yes I took him to see Santa when he was three weeks old, was ADORABLE.  He looked like something out of an Anne Geddes Christmas calendar. The second time we went to see Santa, Griffin was curious.  He checked him out quite a bit, but snuck in a little smile.  This year, well, I'll let the picture speak for itself.

That's my boy!

This weekend exceeded all of my expectations and was SO MUCH FUN!
We began with a formal on Friday night, a visit with Santa on Saturday, then a final lunch amongst the trees after church on Sunday.  The very end of the weekend brought the Historic Home Tour where we able to sneak in a few houses before reporting for host/hostess duties.
Loved this weekend in Concord, now can I take a nap?!?

'Tis The Season

'Tis the season for the Festival of Trees!  Jason and I just stumbled upon it last year, but had SO MUCH FUN.  Since we actually live here now and know people, I know it'll be even better this year!

Green Friday

There was no Black Friday shopping for me!  We loaded up everyone at Casa de Cagle and went to the mountains to cut down our Christmas tree(s.)  It was a bee-you-tee-ful day, though a little warmer than I like for Christmas tree pickin'.  Thanks Mr. Edwards, we'll see you again next year - same time, same place.
