THAT is the question we've been asked since we bought our house in March. All of our friends, neighbors, and Concord natives warned us about Halloween, but I think we were still not fully prepared. Trick or Treaters arrived at our door at 4:30 with a steady line from our porch to the road until 7:30 when we ran out of candy. (And, we're talking a $150 stash of candy.) Seriously! At any rate, it was a blast and Griffin was pretty well-behaved - he even did a little Trick or Treating with his daddy!
Soooo, I ordered this fabric for my kitchen curtains and it needs a little something. The background is greener than I anticipated and I thought two panels would work, but now it looks a little 'thin.' I'll have to do something different.
The halloween gene skipped me. My grandma, mom, aunts, uncles all loved halloween, but me, not so much. The problem is I don't like ugly. ....or scary. ....and the whole orange and black thing really doesn't work in my color palette. So what does that leave me with?
My feeble attempt at Halloween. Don't judge; I'm tryin'.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of my high school, they invited all former Miss East Duplin's to go out on the field at homecoming. Representing 1964 was my Mama, the second Miss East Duplin. Now how cute is that?!?
Now that the weather has cooled off a little, we're taking advantage of all the amenities Charlotte has to offer - for an almost two-year-old that is. Griffin has developed a fascination with owls so we took him to the Raptor Center and it didn't disappoint. So many birds to see! Hoooo-Hoooo.....
