Reflections

This was a good Christmas!
G said,
"Santa brought even more this year than he did last year!"

Can we do it all again?

The Tree

I may be a bit of a Christmas tree freak,
but I actually don't enjoy decorating the tree.
I never really have a plan, things just have to evolve through
trial and error.
Lots of trial and error.

Santa

I'm so happy that G is over his fear of Santa.
We really only had one bad year (age 2) so I shouldn't complain,
but now it's nice to not worry about getting a picture.
He always comes through for me!

Griffin marched right up to Santa and told him this year's
Christmas List:
A Yo-Yo
and
A Fireman Sam toy.

Feeling Festive!

When it comes to Christmas decorating,
I'm a bit all over the place.
I love simple, over-the-top, colorful, monochromatic,
natural, and fanciful all simultaneously.
So, when I put the sorta rustic deer on the dining room buffet,
it needed a bright, sparkly, shiny contrast.
And, Voila!

I don't usually incorporate orchids into my Christmas decor,
but the pop of color just makes me happy.
...for the moment.
Christmas is still a few days away, it could change.  ;-)

The Littlest Angels

G got to participate in the church Christmas pageant this weekend.
He and his 4-year-old buddies were all angels.
Cue the, "Awwwwww."

Deer In The Dining Room

I spotted this deer back in August and knew I had to have it
for Christmas.
I'm kinda into novelty Christmas items this year
(the angels, deer, etc.)
and I don't know why.
Anyway, the deer landed in my dining room and I love it!

Decorations

These pretties are hanging out underneath my Christmas tree.

It's beginning to look a little more like Christmas.

Wrappin'

These packages are lookin' pretty under my tree.

Lucky for me, these gifts came already wrapped, but I've got to start wrapping all the others!

Lost In The Trees

G's favorite game at the tree farm this year was getting lost in the trees.
And, he was pretty good at it!

Lack of Preparation

Since this is my 3rd year in this sweet little town,
you'd think that I would've learned how quickly the fall disappears!
It's Halloween, then birthday, then Christmas, back to Thanksgiving, then FULL ON Christmas.
...and I know that.
But, throw in one extra tree decorating gig coupled with a week less between T'giving and Christmas and it threw my whole timeline out of whack.
But now I'm back on track and ready to get my jingle on!

Bring on the Christmas!!!

I'm so happy; my tabletops and floors are already covered in glitter from wrapping paper and Christmas cards!
Love!

Feeling A Little Behind

Does anyone else feel like it was JUST Halloween?

This is a super busy, but super fun week for me.
Gotta get it together because....

It's Time!

It's such a fabulous time to be in this little town!
This weekend marks the kickoff of the holiday season and I couldn't be happier.
Truth be told, I've been playing Christmas music in my house for a while now.
Smile.

An Elephant In The Room

There's an elephant in my dining room.
...in the form of my new elephant table.

Love!

And We're 4! ...sort of.

This weekend was G's 4th birthday!
...but he wanted nothing to do with it.
While we were in the car last week, G made the discovery that
his actual birthday was not on parade day as it was last year.
And that didn't sit well.
He insisted that it was not his birthday until the parade day.
He even told everyone at church that it was NOT his birthday,
his birthday is on parade day.

So, yesterday we ate "non-birthday" cupcakes and sang
"Happy Birthday" to our dog because it was not
G's birthday.

What a stinker!
